AB DnB NORD Bankas places great importance on tracking down and prevention of money laundering activities related to the financing of terrorism, organised crime and other serious criminal offences.

In accordance with the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, which implements Directive 91/308/EEC of the European Community Council as of 10 June 1991 on preventing use of the financial system for the purposes of money laundering and Directive 2001/97/EC of the European Parliament and of the European Council as of 4 December 2001 amending the former, AB DnB NORD Bankas has the Procedure for Money Laundering Prevention. The Procedure also covers the Forty Recommendations on Money Laundering and the Nine Special Recommendations on Terrorist Financing issued by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

All structural units of AB DnB NORD Bankas are subject to the Procedure for Money Laundering Prevention. For more details on the money laundering prevention measures taken by AB DnB NORD Bankas please refer to the  AML Policy Statement and the  AML/KYC Questionnaire filled in on behalf of AB DnB NORD Bankas.

In compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act and the requirements of the U.S. Treasury Department for foreign financial institutions holding correspondent accounts with the financial institutions in the USA, AB DnB NORD Bankas has duly filled in and signed the  USA PATRIOT Act Certification to be re-certified upon any changes in the information contained therein.
