Bank account in DnB NORD bank - reliable and convenient way to manage daily financial needs. Bank account is opened for undefined term in national or any foreign currency. The account can be maintained in a way most suitable for you: in client service branch, using electronic banking INTERNETO LINIJA or mobile bank service SMS linija.

By having a bank account in DnB NORD you can:

  • Deposit cash to the account (in national or foreign currency) in any client service branch;
  • Withdraw cash from the account (in national or foreign currency) in any client service branch;
  • Make payments to other Lithuanian or foreign banks (in national or foreign currency) ;
  • Get income on your behalf from Lithuanian or foreign banks;
  • Transfer salaries to company‘s employees;
  • Make periodic payments to the beneficiaries;
  • Perform direct debit operations;
  •  Perform currency exchange operations;
  • Acquire bank‘s or traveller‘s cheques;
  • Collect nominal or bank cheques;
  • Perform other financial operations.

Interest for the account balance

Interest is paid for account‘s credit balance. Interest is calculated every day (while calculating it is considered that the number of days is equal to 360 and the number of calendar days equals to 30) and on the last working day of the month it is paid into your account:

Opening of Bank account

An account in DnB NORD may be opened by

  • Legal entities, registered in Republic of Lithuania or abroad;
  • Natural persons having the right to engage in economic activities and provide services (notaries, lawyers, bailiffs or farmers).

Bank‘s account may be opened in any DnB NORD clients service branch. The account may be opened by head of the company or his empowered representative. Following documents must be provided to bank‘s employee:

1. Legal entities, registered in the Republic of Lithuania:

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Original registration certificate or its copy;
  • Original Articles of Association (Statute or Bylaws) or their copy;
  • Original decision of the management body (or its copy) confirming appointment or election of the head of the company.

2. Individual companies:

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Original registration certificate or its copy;
  • Original Articles of Association (Statute or Bylaws) or their copy;
  • Original decision of the management body (or its copy) confirming appointment or election of the head of the company if the head is not the owner of the private company.

3. True partnership or limited partnership:

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Original registration certificate or its copy;
  • Original joint activity agreement or its copy;
  • Original decision of the management body (or its copy) confirming appointment or election of the head of the company.

4. Founders of a legal entity, who want to open a cumulative account:

  • Standart application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Original founding agreement/act or its copy;
  • Authorisation to open a cumulative interest account unless it is provided for in the incorporation agreement or act;

5. Companies not registered in the Republic of Lithuania:

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Registration certificate or transcript on registration issued by the commercial register of a foreign country;
  • Articles of Association (Statute or Bylaws);
  • Authorisation to represent the company;

These documents shall be translated into Lithuanian, translators signature shall be approved by the seal of translation agency or notary of the Republic of Lithuania. Documents shall be notarised and legalised in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania.

Document legalisation is not applied provided that a foreign country where the company is registered is a member of the Hague Convention on cancellation of legalisation of foreign country documents (www.urm.lt or www.hcch.net). In such a case the company shall present a certificate on the origin of documents issued by a responsible institution of the country of registration of the company (APOSTILLE).

6.Notaries, lawyers, bailiffs (or opening an account in their office / law firm):

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank); Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Notarial certificate issued by the order of Lithuanian Minister of Justice (for notaries);
  • Lithuanian Bar Association issued certificate which entitles practice of advocate activities (for lawyers and lawyers' assistants);
  • Lithuanian Ministry of Justice issued document attesting the right to pursue bailiff activities and the bailiff's certificate (for bailiffs);
  • Bureau (office) establishment document or a joint activity agreement, if the account is opened for (office) bureau activities.

7. Farmers:

  • Standard application form of the Bank for account opening (filled in the bank);
  • Sample signature and seal card (filled in the bank);
  • Legal entity form (filled in the bank);
  • Farm registration certificate (or its copy).

The holder has to present his/her passport (authorised persons shall present their passports and documents certifying their authorisation) and the company seal (if any).

    Copies of the documents presented to the bank have to be notarized.
