Bank account - an account designed to safely keep your funds and perform various financial operations. Bank‘s account is opened for undefined term in national or any foreign currency. The account can be maintained in a way most suitable for you: in client service branch, using electronic banking INTERNETO LINIJA or mobile bank service SMS linija.

By having a bank‘s account in DnB NORD you can:

  • Deposit cash to the account (in national or foreign currency) in any client service branch;
  • Withdraw cash from the account (in national or foreign currency) in any client service branch;
  • Make payments to other Lithuanian or foreign banks (in national or foreign currency) ;
  • Get income on your behalf from Lithuanian or foreign banks;
  • Pay for products and services (for example pay bills for utilities, newspaper subscription, cabel television, etc.);
  • Make periodic payments to the beneficiaries;
  • Perform direct debit operations;
  • Perform currency exchange operations;
  • Acquire bank‘s or traveller‘s cheques;
  • collect nominal or bank checques;
  • Perform other financial operations.

Interest for the account balance

Interest is paid for account‘s credit balance. Interest is calculated every day (while calculating it is considered that the number of days is equal to 360 and the number of calendar days equals to 30) and on the last working day it is paid into your account:

Opening of Bank‘s account

You can open an account in DnB NORD if you are

  • Citizen of Republic of Lithuania;
  • Citizen of a foreign country;

You may open bank‘s account in any DnB NORD clients service branch. You have to provide one of the following documents to bank‘s employee:

1. If you are a citizen of Republic of Lithuania:

  • Citizen passport of Republic of Lithuania
  • Citizen personal identification card of Republic of Lithuania
  • New type of driver‘s licence issued in Lithuania
  • Official passport of Republic of Lithuania
  • Seaman‘s passport of Republic of Lithuania

2. If you are a citizen of a foreign country:

  • Passport of citizen of a foreign country
  • Diplomatic passport
  • Personal identification card of EU resident
  • Permission to (temporarily or permanently) live in LR or document regarding the person‘s right to (temporarily or permanently) live in LR provided by the Migration department under LR Ministry of the Interior (if you have it).
