Peculiarities of local payment orders:
- A bank account holder can transfer any amount in any currency to any town of Lithuania on his/her behalf. Therefore, it is possible to withdraw money from one's account opened in another town.
- Money transfer from a current account is also possible on behalf of another person. So one can support his/her parents living or children studying in another city, etc.
- One having no deposit or current account can just pay in and transfer cash. The beneficiary's account is credited, and cash can be withdrawn upon his/her arrival at the Bank.
- Money transfer to employees who are on a business trip to another city and drivers (suppliers) is possible. In such a way one can avoid risks related to money transportation (theft, loss).
- The fees of DnB NORD bankas for this service are more favourable than fees for money orders.
Local transfer is executed on the same banking day, if:
- Standard payment order in litas is submitted before 2:30 p.m.;
- Urgent payment order in litas is submitted before 3:30 p.m.;
- Payment order in foreign currency (EUR or USD) is submitted before 1:00 p.m. In case of other currencies on agreement basis.
- Beneficiary’s bank account is within DnB NORD (Lithuania).
